I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Yingling Aviation in Wichita, KS and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are further product advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a little more research to see which packages offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Wichita as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
