I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Yingling Aviation in Wichita, KS and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the best way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more reading to work out which programs offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Wichita as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
