I have spent the last couple of months looking for the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine used to work at Reabe Spraying Service Inc in Waupun, WI and he said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets companies to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the easiest way to make the right decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do some more research to work out which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Waupun as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
