I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A friend of mine briefly worked at Waterloo Flying Service Inc in Waterloo, IN and he said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are a number of benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and often to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really should reduce the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a little more research to see which products offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Waterloo as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
