I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at I F L Group in Waterford, MI and she said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to easily manage the many types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

• Contract Insight
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are often the quickest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a bit more research to determine which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Waterford as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
