I have spent the last 2 months searching for the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at T. F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are other advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Blueridge Software
• Memba Context

I really have to shorten the list to the best software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are often the easiest way to make the right decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My plan is to do a bit more research to work out which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Warwick as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
