I have spent the last few months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A friend of mine used to work at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna, OH and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows organisations to easily manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are other benefits but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a little more reading to see which programs offer the most features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Vienna as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
