I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Ball Airport in Victoria, TX and he said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software enables companies to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really should shorten the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the best way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do some more investigating to work out which programs offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Victoria as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
