I have spent the last 2 months investigating the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A friend of mine worked at Venice City – Municipal Airport, Airport Manager in Venice, FL and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables organisations to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more product advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are often the quickest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do a bit more reading to see which programs offer the most features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Venice as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
