I have spent the last 2 months searching for the most reliable contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A friend of mine used to work at Aviation Alliance Group in Van Nuys, CA and he once said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows companies to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really must reduce the list to the best software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more reading to determine which products offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Van Nuys as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
