I have spent the last 2 months searching for the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A relative of mine used to work at Grimes Field in Urbana, OH and he said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are numerous reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

I really should reduce the list to the top software based on features, cost, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a bit more reading to work out which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Urbana as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
