I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine used to work at Maniac-Mikes Cafe in Upland, CA and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows organisations to easily manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are a number of advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really should reduce the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the quickest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My plan is to do a little more reading to work out which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Upland as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
