I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A relative of mine worked at Taylor-City – Airport in Taylor, TX and he said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software allows companies to easily manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least in my case what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really must reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are frequently the easiest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a little more investigating to determine which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Taylor as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
