I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A relative of mine briefly worked at Erdy Aviation Limited in Sunbury, OH and she said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides clarity

There are other advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a bit more reading to see which packages offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Sunbury as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
