I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Garett General Aviation Services DIV in Springfield, IL and he said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software enables organisations to easily manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other businesses.

I really must reduce the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a little more reading to see which products offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Springfield as well as a number of IT businesses providing this as a service.
