I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Denver Stone Airport Express, Inc. in Southfield, MI and he once said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software enables companies to effectively manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are a number of reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more product advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the best way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a little more research to work out which programs offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Southfield as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
