I have spent the last few months looking for the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A relative of mine used to work at Oakland International Airport – Air Couriers, Tricor in South San Francisco, CA and he once said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software enables organisations to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least in my case what I am looking for it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

I really should reduce the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more research to see which products offer the best features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in South San Francisco as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
