I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Snoh Flying Serv Inc in Snohomish, WA and he once said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows organisations to easily manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are more product advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really must narrow it down to the best software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a bit more investigating to determine which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Snohomish as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
