I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A relative of mine worked at Port City Java in Shallotte, NC and she said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to shorten the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a little more investigating to work out which products offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Shallotte as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
