I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Sequim Valley Airport in Sequim, WA and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets companies to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Contract Insight
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the top software based on features, cost, and then on online reviews. Software program reviews are often the easiest way to make a final decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do some more reading to determine which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Sequim as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
