I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A friend of mine worked at Homer Air in Seldovia, AK and he said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are further benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really have to shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do some more reading to see which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Seldovia as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
