I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine worked at Low Country Adventures Limited in Savannah, GA and he said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least in my case what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to shorten the list to the top software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the easiest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do some more investigating to work out which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Savannah as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
