I have spent the last few months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Tag Aviation Usa Inc. in Santa Ana, CA and she said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more product advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really must reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are often the best way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do some more reading to work out which products offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Santa Ana as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
