I have spent the last 2 months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A relative of mine briefly worked at Santa Clara County – Roads & Airports Dept, Roads and Airports Department of Administration in San Jose, CA and she said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows enterprises to easily manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are many benefits of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and often to other corporations.

• Softrax
• Accruent

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do a bit more investigating to work out which programs offer the most features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in San Jose as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
