I have spent the last few months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine briefly worked at San Jose Jet Center in San Jose, CA and he once said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I would like it to do. There are a number of reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but these are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My plan is to do some more research to determine which packages offer the best features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in San Jose as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
