I have spent the last few months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine briefly worked at Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority-Vta in San Jose, CA and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software lets enterprises to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are numerous reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the best way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do some more investigating to work out which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in San Jose as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
