I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A relative of mine used to work at Salt Lake City International Airport – Customer Service in Salt Lake City, UT and he said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a bit more reading to work out which products offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Salt Lake City as well as a number of IT businesses providing this as a service.
