I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine worked at Salt Lake City International Airport – Air Freight, Continental Airlines-Cdg in Salt Lake City, UT and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are many benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are often the easiest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do a little more research to see which packages offer the best features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Salt Lake City as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
