I have spent the last few months investigating the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Salem Airpark Inc in Salem, OH and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are other advantages but those are what matters most to me and often to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to shorten the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do some more research to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Salem as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
