I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Metropolitan Airports Commission in Saint Paul, MN and she said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are often the easiest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more research to determine which programs offer the best features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Saint Paul as well as a number of IT businesses presenting this as a service.
