I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at ECS in Rosemount, MN and he once said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software enables organisations to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more product advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really must shorten the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are often the best way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more research to see which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Rosemount as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
