I have spent the last 2 months looking for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Lewis University Flight Department in Romeoville, IL and he once said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are numerous reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are other advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really should reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are generally the best way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more investigating to work out which programs offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Romeoville as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
