I have spent the last 2 months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A relative of mine used to work at Greater Rockford Airport Authority in Rockford, IL and she said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are numerous reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further advantages but those are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the top software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do a little more research to see which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Rockford as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
