I have spent the last couple of months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine used to work at Roberts Thomas E in Roanoke, TX and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further product advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the best software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more investigating to work out which packages offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Roanoke as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
