I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A relative of mine worked at Go Corporation in Redwood City, CA and she said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are a number of reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other benefits but they are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really must shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more research to see which packages offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Redwood City as well as a number of IT businesses presenting this as a service.
