I have spent the last 2 months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at Air Portage Inc in Portage, WI and he once said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

I really should shorten the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are frequently the easiest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a bit more investigating to determine which packages offer the best features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Portage as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
