I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A relative of mine worked at Spray Plains Inc in Plains, TX and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the best software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are frequently the best way to make a final decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do some more investigating to determine which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Plains as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
