I have spent the last 2 months investigating the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Pellston Regional Airport in Pellston, MI and she said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows companies to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more product advantages but those are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really must narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are frequently the best way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more reading to determine which packages offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Pellston as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
