I have spent the last couple of months investigating the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A friend of mine worked at Parshall Airport Authority in Parshall, ND and he said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables companies to easily manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really have to shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do a bit more research to work out which products offer the best features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Parshall as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
