I have spent the last couple of months investigating the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at Usft Inc in Palm Beach, FL and he said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least in my case what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really should reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are often the best way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do some more investigating to work out which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Palm Beach as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
