I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Gage James R & Associates in Ottawa, IL and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets organisations to effectively manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are numerous reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other businesses.

• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must reduce the list to the best software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are often the easiest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a little more research to work out which products offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Ottawa as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
