I have spent the last couple of months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Suburban Aviation Inc in Ottawa Lake, MI and he once said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows organisations to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are many advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really should reduce the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are often the easiest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a bit more research to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Ottawa Lake as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
