I have spent the last few months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Timco Oscoda in Oscoda, MI and she said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are other product advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• Memba Context

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more research to work out which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Oscoda as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
