I have spent the last 2 months looking for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A relative of mine worked at Orr Public Airport in Orr, MN and she said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a little more research to work out which programs offer the most features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Orr as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
