I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A friend of mine briefly worked at Opa Locka Airport – OPF in Opa Locka, FL and he said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to easily manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really must shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are generally the quickest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a bit more investigating to work out which packages offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Opa Locka as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
