I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at Allen Parish Airport in Oakdale, LA and she said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to effectively manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are a number of benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are more product advantages but those are what matters most to me and often to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more investigating to see which packages offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Oakdale as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
