I have spent the last 2 months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine used to work at Sita Utell Int’l-reed Int’l in Oak Brook, IL and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more product advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My plan is to do some more reading to work out which products offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Oak Brook as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
