I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine used to work at Northwood Municipal Airport Authority in Northwood, ND and she said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets enterprises to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more product advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really must reduce the list to the best software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Software program reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a little more reading to see which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Northwood as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
