I have spent the last few months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Leelanau Township Office in Northport, MI and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really must reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My plan is to do a bit more research to determine which packages offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Northport as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
