I have spent the last couple of months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine briefly worked at North Platte City – Airport Authority, Airport Manager in North Platte, NE and she said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software enables enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous benefits of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are further product advantages but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really should shorten the list to the top software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the quickest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a little more reading to determine which products offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in North Platte as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
